Sunday 6 September 2026: Parish Family Mass for Back to School Sunday

Join us in-person this Sunday at 10am for our Back to School Parish Family Mass.

As the new term begins, you are warmly invited to join us as we pray for our local schools and the whole school community — children and young people, pupils and students, teachers and school staff, and all their families, carers and guardians.

Together, we’ll ask God’s blessing on everyone beginning a new school year: for all that they will learn, the friendships they will make, the opportunities and challenges ahead, and for all those who will teach, support, encourage and care for them along the way.

There will also be a special blessing of school bags and equipment — so don’t forget to bring yours!

We would love to have as many of our local young people and families with us as possible. Bring yourselves, bring your school bags — and bring a friend or invite another family along too

Whether you are a regular member of our congregation, part of one of our local school communities, visiting St Thomas’ for the first time, or returning after some time away, you will receive a very warm welcome.

Bags packed? Ready for school? Come and have them blessed!

Come and help us fill St Thomas’ with children, young people and families as we pray together for our local schools and everyone beginning a new academic year.
