The Purpose and Our Aims
Our Purpose is:
To renovate the Church Hall so that it is a safe, attractive and functional space that meets the needs of the Church and the wider community of Hanwell.
Our Aims are:
- To redecorate and refurbish the main hall and stage.
- To renovate the entrance and lobby with one entrance and new toilet facilities.
- To create a community café area on the park side of the hall.
- To make two meeting rooms on the church side of the hall.
- To make the footprint of the hall as eco-friendly and sustainable as is possible.
Benefits to the Community are:
- A vibrant and attractive stage and hall area will be available for use by different cultural groups in the community such as drama groups and musical/theatrical groups as well as our regular users.
- The meeting rooms will be made available to provide a community counselling facility for Hanwell.
- The community café area will provide a facility and social space for people visiting the park and other residents of Hanwell.
- It will be an attractive and multi-functional space made available for use by the community of Hanwell.
How Much it will Cost?
We estimate to do this work will cost around £200,000.
Most of this will come from charitable grant making organisations but as a church we aim to raise £100,000.
