Sunday 1st March 2026 – Parish Mass for The Second Sunday of Lent.
__________
Dear friends,
It is right and good for us to gather as God’s people: to give thanks for God’s goodness, to hear the Word proclaimed, and to be renewed through word and sacrament.
As we continue our journey through the holy season of Lent, the Church invites us to go deeper — deeper into prayer, deeper into self-examination, and deeper into trust in God’s sustaining grace. On this Second Sunday of Lent, we are drawn up the mountain with Jesus, where his glory is revealed and we are reminded of God’s promise to be present with us, even in moments of uncertainty and change.
Lent teaches us that transformation comes not only through discipline and repentance, but also through attentiveness — learning to listen for God’s voice and to follow Christ more faithfully in our daily lives. This season shapes us for the road ahead, leading us toward renewal, hope, and the joy of Easter.
Today we are especially grateful to welcome our guest preacher, Leslie Pringle, and we give thanks for the gift of his presence and proclamation among us.
You are warmly invited to join us for Mass as we continue this sacred journey together, strengthened by worship, nourished by word and sacrament, and supported by the fellowship of our parish community.
All are welcome.
