Dear friends,

It is right and good for us to gather as God’s people: to give thanks for God’s goodness, to hear the Word proclaimed, and to be renewed through word and sacrament.

As we begin the holy season of Lent, the Church calls us into a time of prayer, fasting, and generosity — a season of honesty, discipline, and hope. On this First Sunday of Lent, we follow Christ into the wilderness, learning again what it means to trust God, to resist what draws us away from love, and to live by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Lent invites us to slow our pace, to examine our hearts, and to deepen our dependence on God’s grace. It is a journey that leads us through repentance and renewal toward the joy of Easter, shaping us more fully as Christ’s people in the world.

You are warmly invited to join us for Mass as we begin this sacred journey together, strengthened by worship, nourished by word and sacrament, and supported by the fellowship of our parish community.
