Sunday 8th March 2026 – Parish Mass for The Third Sunday of Lent.
__________
Dear friends,
It is right and good for us to gather as God’s people: to give thanks for God’s goodness, to hear the Word proclaimed, and to be renewed through word and sacrament.
As we continue our journey through the holy season of Lent, the Church calls us to a deeper turning of heart — to renewed prayer, honest self-examination, and trust in the mercy and grace of God. This sacred season invites us to slow down, to listen more carefully for God’s voice, and to open our lives more fully to the transforming love revealed in Christ.
On this Third Sunday of Lent, the scriptures remind us that God is patient and gracious, always calling us toward new life. Even in times when we feel uncertain or weary, God continues to nurture us, inviting us to grow, to bear fruit, and to walk more faithfully in the way of Christ.
Lent is not only a season of repentance, but also a season of hope — a time in which God gently reshapes our hearts and prepares us for the promise of resurrection that awaits us at Easter.
Today we are especially grateful to welcome our guest preacher, Stephen Brooks, and we give thanks for the gift of his presence and ministry among us.
You are warmly invited to join us for Mass as we continue this Lenten pilgrimage together, strengthened by worship, nourished by word and sacrament, and sustained by the fellowship of our parish community.
All are welcome.
