Sunday 16 August 2026: Parish Mass for the Eleventh Sunday after Trinity.

You are warmly invited to join us for our Parish Mass at 10.00am on the Eleventh Sunday after Trinity.

As we gather for worship, our readings proclaim the wideness of God’s mercy. Isaiah speaks of God’s house as a house of prayer for all peoples, the Psalm calls every nation to praise, and St Paul reminds us that God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable and that all depend upon his mercy. In the Gospel, the steadfast faith of the Canaanite woman crosses every boundary as she remains before Christ and receives healing for her daughter. Together, these Scriptures remind us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace, encourage us to persevere in faith even when God seems silent, and call us to become a Church in which all people may discover welcome, healing and a place at Christ’s table.

We are delighted to welcome back Reverend Julia Palmer following her summer break, as she leads our Parish Mass, and to welcome Stephen Brooks once more as our Guest Preacher. We look forward to the encouragement and inspiration they will bring as we gather around God’s Word and celebrate the Holy Eucharist.
