Sunday 23 August 2026: Parish Mass for the Twelfth Sunday after Trinity

You are warmly invited to join us for our Parish Mass at 10.00am on the Twelfth Sunday after Trinity.

As we gather for worship, our readings invite us to listen afresh to God and to place Christ at the heart of our lives.

Isaiah recalls God’s faithfulness to Abraham and Sarah and promises comfort, joy and everlasting salvation. The Psalm gives thanks for God’s steadfast love, which strengthens and sustains us in times of trouble.

St Paul calls us to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, transformed by the renewing of our minds and united as one body with many different gifts.

In the Gospel, Peter declares Jesus to be the Messiah, the Son of the living God, and Christ speaks of building his Church upon this foundation of faith.

Together, these Scriptures challenge us to consider how we answer Jesus’ question, “Who do you say that I am?” They encourage us to express our faith through humble worship, transformed lives and generous service to one another.
