Sunday 13 September 2026: Parish Mass for the Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity
____________________________________________
You are warmly invited to join us for our Parish Mass at 10.00am on the Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity.
As we gather for worship, our readings invite us to reflect on the boundless mercy of God and on our calling to show that same mercy and forgiveness to one another.
In Genesis, Joseph reassures his brothers, choosing forgiveness over revenge and recognising that God has brought good even out of the wrong that was done to him. The Psalm praises the Lord who is compassionate and gracious, whose steadfast love surrounds his people.
St Paul reminds us not to judge or despise one another, for each of us belongs to the Lord and each of us is ultimately accountable to God.
In the Gospel, Peter asks Jesus how often he must forgive. Through the parable of the unforgiving servant, Jesus challenges us to recognise the immeasurable mercy we ourselves have received and to extend that mercy generously to others.
Together, these Scriptures remind us that forgiveness lies at the heart of the Christian life. Having received God’s mercy, we are called to become people of mercy ourselves – seeking reconciliation, resisting judgement and allowing grace to shape our relationships with one another.
Whether you are a regular member of our congregation, visiting for the first time, or returning after some time away, you will receive a very warm welcome.
We look forward to welcoming you.
elcoming you.
