Sunday 29th December 2025 – Parish Mass for the First Sunday of Christmas & The Holy Family
__________
Join us at St Thomas’ as we celebrate the First Sunday of Christmas and the Feast of the Holy Family.
In the quiet days after Christmas, when the excitement has softened and the decorations still glow, the Church invites us to linger at the heart of the mystery: God choosing to dwell among us in family, love, and vulnerability.
Today we contemplate the Holy Family — Jesus, Mary, and Joseph — and the sacredness of ordinary life shaped by faith, trust, and obedience to God’s call.
In our worship we reflect on what it means for Christ to grow among us: in our homes, our relationships, and our shared life as a community. We give thanks for the gift of family in all its forms — joyful and fragile, chosen and given — and we hold before God those for whom this season may be complicated or tender.
As we gather around Word and Sacrament, we ask for grace to recognise Christ’s presence not only in moments of celebration, but in the daily faithfulness of love, care, and commitment.
Whether you come full of Christmas joy, carrying quiet burdens, or simply seeking peace in the midst of the season, you are warmly invited to join us.
Come and worship with us.
All are welcome.
