Sunday 17th May 2026 – Parish Family Mass for Education Sunday.

You are warmly invited to join us at St Thomas the Apostle, Hanwell, for our Parish Family Mass celebrating Education Sunday: “Positive Change.”

Together, we will give thanks for the gift of education and pray for all who teach, learn, nurture, and inspire within our schools, colleges, and wider community.

This special service reflects on how faith, wisdom, and learning can help bring hope and positive change to our world. Through music, prayer, Scripture, and the participation of local schools and community representatives, we will celebrate the light of Christ shining through education, compassion, and service.

Our readings remind us of the fruits of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, kindness, and self-control — and Jesus’ call to be “the light of the world” and “the salt of the earth.”

We are delighted to welcome representatives from our local schools, and The Reverend David Brammer, Schools Chaplain to Ealing Fields & Twyford C of E Academies Trust, who will be speaking during the service.
