Sunday 22nd March 2026 – Parish Mass for Passion Sunday

Dear friends,

It is right and good for us to gather as God’s people: to give thanks for God’s goodness, to hear the Word proclaimed, and to be renewed through word and sacrament.

As we enter Passion Sunday and draw closer to the solemn events of Holy Week, the Church invites us into a deeper reflection on the suffering and love of Christ. This is a time to stand at the foot of the cross, to contemplate the depth of God’s mercy, and to recognise anew the cost of our redemption.

The scriptures today lead us into the mystery of Christ’s Passion — a journey marked by sacrifice, humility, and unwavering obedience to the will of the Father. In these sacred days, we are called not only to remember, but to enter more fully into this story: to walk with Christ, to examine our own hearts, and to place our trust in God’s saving grace.

Passiontide calls us to a quiet seriousness, yet it is not without hope. Even as we reflect on the cross, we do so in the light of the promise it holds — that through Christ’s suffering comes life, and through his death, resurrection.

Today we are especially grateful to welcome our guest preacher from Blueprint for All, and we give thanks for the gift of their presence and ministry among us.
